God is establishing hundreds of new churches all across India among the nation's
most despised people. Tens of thousands of the Dalit people have turned to Christ since
the beginning of 2002. This is God's time for the Dalits. Your Partnership will help train
and place pastors and church workers to serve the hundreds of churches.
The Dalits have been the oppressed majority in India for 3,000 years. However, on November 4, 2001,
thousands of representatives of the Dalit community gathered and officially left Hinduism's caste system.
Christians spoke out in their defense and stood with them in their quest for dignity, and as a result,
many Dalits have turned to Christ and the new life he offers.
In the last few years, hundreds of new fellowships have been formed across India. To provide leadership
and structure, OM India launched the Good Shepherd Community Church (GSCC) movement, uniting these new
fellowships. Back
